Think before you buy.
Ask yourself if there is a possibility of dropping the class? If there is, you need to keep that in mind when making textbook purchasing decisions. It is almost impossible to return a textbook to an online seller though many offer buyback options to purchase your book. Most college stores however, allow you to return books if you drop the class. The Campus Store has a very generous return policy. You are allowed to return the book within 3 days of purchase. In addition, if you drop a class later in the semester, all you have to do is show the drop/add slip from the Records Office and you can return your books then too. Just remember to keep your receipt. If there is a possibility you might drop a class, you want to refrain from writing in the book. Keep it in “shelf” condition so that when you return it, you will get the full amount instead of the used price.
Have you ever dropped a class and were unable to return the textbook? What did you do?
