This book stands out among popular-level introductions to Islam by presenting a balanced view of that cultural-political religion. Many books on the topic present such a negative view of Muslims that they cause the reader to fear rather than to love his Muslim neighbor, but the author of this book admits that he presents Islam in a moderate and understanding light while rejecting the religion as capable of bringing salvation. Later sections of the book give poignant insight into appropriate witnessing approaches. There are some common mistakes that Christians make that immediately “turn off” the Muslim listener and burn any bridges to communication. Challen helps the believer avoid these mistakes.
